The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce in partnership with The U.S. Embassy Nassau and The Bahamas Hotel Association today announced plans for the 2009 Energy Conference & Trade Show to take place November 12-14, 2009 at The Sheraton Nassau Beach Hotel. Hosted under the theme, “Smart Energy Solutions for A Growing Economy,” the 2009 Energy Conference is scheduled for Thursday, November 12. The conference will feature local and international presenters and panelists including Environmental Ministers, The Hon. Earl Deveaux and The Hon. Phenton Neymour, Dr. Al Binger and representatives from the BEST Commission, B.E.C., Kerzner International, the InterAmerican Development Bank, EMERA and Star Island Resort amongst others. An update is expected during the Conference on the National Energy Policy as the business community seeks relief from ever growing energy costs. Participants will also learn practical energy saving solutions than can be implemented now. Topics for the 1-day conference include, Energy & Climate Change – A Global Perspective, The Fuel Market, The Realities of Renewables and Green by Design. The Business Trade Show is being hosted over two days, November 13-14, and is expected to draw the participation of over seventy companies. Having grown in popularity, The Trade Show provides local and international businesses with the perfect arena to showcase their products and services to an expanded network of buyers, consumers and industry stakeholders.
