Throughout this month, the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce team has been actively engaging with various agencies and organizations to explore common areas of interest and collaboration.
First off, on February 23rd, 2024, the BCCEC met with the International Labour Organization (ILO) Caribbean Team, led by Director Dr. Joni Musabayana. During the meeting, the ILO team discussed Tripartite matters, identified employers' priorities, and shared key concerns and perspectives on the labor market.

On March 1st, 2024, representatives from the USDA Department of Agriculture paid a courteous visit to the BCCEC. During their meeting, they delved into the topics of global food security and the potential for exports in the Caribbean. The discussion also covered important areas such as data analysis, trade policies, and capacity building. This visit was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and explore new avenues for collaboration between these two organizations.

On March 12th, 2024, the BCCEC welcomed the delegation from the Embassy of France in Panama for a courtesy call. The BCCEC met with H.E. Aude de Amorim, the Ambassador of France in Panama, and Bastien Courtois, Deputy Economic Counsellor, to discuss the Bahamian economy, projects of interest, and the interests of the private sector in the Bahamas. The meeting was cordial and productive, with both parties exchanging valuable insights and ideas about strengthening the economic ties between France and the Bahamas.
