We are happy to present April's edition of the monthly newsletter, featuring updates and news from the BCCEC. Our Chairman, Timothy Ingraham, recently discussed with the Nassau Guardian the upcoming NIB increase and expressed concerns about the possible increase in the cost of doing business in the country. However, he also recognized that the increase is necessary to ensure the survival of the fund, which many Bahamians depend on.
Our Trade Section includes various articles, such as the Bahamas Development Bank's $30m loan facility, which is expected to benefit over 100 Family Island businesses, and the upcoming Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation (BAIC) 'Taste & Tell' food sampling event at Western Esplanade on Saturday, April 20th, from 12 noon to 8 pm. The event will showcase the products of Bahamian food processors.
We are pleased to welcome three new members - The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited Ivory Global Management Ltd, and IT Bahamas T/A Mangrove Networks - to the Chamber membership.
We invite you to visit the BCCEC In Action Blog to learn more about their businesses and how they can benefit your organization. Lastly, gear up to play on the greens for our upcoming 2nd Annual Chamber Classic Golf Tournament, scheduled for Sunday, May 26th, 2024, at the Royal Blue Golf Course. We encourage you to visit our website and social media pages for further information about the event and sponsorship opportunities for your business.
Our newsletters are distributed on the 15th of each month, and we encourage you to share them with your networks and help us spread the word about the great work we do at the BCCEC.
Happy Reading!
