BCCEC Newsletter: August 2024

Welcome to the latest edition of the BCCEC Newsletter for August! In this month's newsletter, we have gathered exciting updates and insightful articles for our valued members and supporters.

BCCEC In Action News features articles from our CEO, Dr. Leo Rolle, and BCCEC Director, Peter Goudie. They delve into a range of topics, including the Chamber's cautious approach to new minimum wage talks and the relaunch of the Chamber Institute, the educational arm of the BCCEC.

One of the highlights of this month is the BCCEC's contribution to The Bahamas Crisis Centre. We're proud to have donated part of the proceeds from our recent golf tournament to support the crucial services provided by The Bahamas Crisis Centre to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse in The Bahamas for over 40 years. Dr. Camille Smith, a volunteer with The Bahamas Crisis Centre and Deputy Director, provided insights into the organization's vital services and its 42-year journey in addressing persistent issues in The Bahamas and the region.

Join us in extending a warm welcome to Ms. Shaneeshiann Burrows, our newly appointed Member Relationship Officer. She is dedicated to ensuring that all our BCCEC members have a fulfilling and engaging experience. Whether it's welcoming new members or facilitating connections, Ms. Burrows is your go-to person for all things membership-related.

Our Trade Section continues to provide valuable resources. Sign up one of the upcoming webinars aimed at enhancing export knowledge, market access, and marketing strategies for Caribbean businesses interested in doing business in Sweden. Additionally, there is a scheduled an online training webinar on Business Continuity (Bahamas) in hosted by the Bahamas Development Bank.

In the spirit of growth, we are thrilled to welcome 12 new members to the Chamber! We look forward to collaborating and connecting with each of them.

The newsletters are distributed on the 15th of each month, so don't miss out! Share them with your networks and stay tuned for more exciting updates from BCCEC!
