The Chief Executive Officer Opportunity
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) role is accountable for the implementation of the strategic
direction of the Chamber and fulfilment of its mission. The CEO is responsible for the operational management and success of The Chamber, including its funding, members, employees, programmes and events. The CEO is supported by a staff of six, develops, manages, implements and markets BCCEC programmes, services and events. The CEO is accountable to and actively engages with the Board of Directors including an Executive Committee and the full Board which comprises 17 members.
The CEO shall seek regular input from BCCEC stakeholders to shape and enhance the
organisation’s business strategy to include an operating budget, an overall strategic and
financial plan, as well as aligning goals and objectives with the delivery of the Chamber’s
programmes and events. The CEO of the Chamber has a unique and exciting opportunity
to serve and support the business community. The CEO is actively involved in community
wide business and economic related issues and events and provides effective leadership in
advocacy for businesses.
